I loved this. I had to keep reminding myself that this was nonfiction because the way this was written and laid out and how every character had their narrator was brilliantly done. It read like fiction. There being an entire army of women in the mountains sounds like something you'd read about only in a novel, and for someone who is trying to become more interested in reading nonfiction regularly, this was a great way to start that journey. I was hooked on every word not just because of the content, but because of the style of writing, the language used, and the rotating narrators made it more engaging.
