I wish I’d read this book when it came out! This was a spectacular piece of Scottish fiction, I felt the characters were so realistic and the author really captured the dialogue perfectly.
The nostalgia was real
I found this to be a heartwarming and emotional read.
The book also included characters facing real issues such as terminal illness, poverty, fear of sharing their sexuality as well as fears of what happens after high school. This book just felt so real and at times I was reading it and remembering conversations with friends. This book is a new favourite
