This has been my FAVORITE book out of the first three in the Red Rising series. The growth that you see from the characters and plot that is moving this story forward is absolutely amazing. I LOVE it when I don’t see the ending coming with a story. It is one of my favorite things!

The fact that I didn’t see that Cassius and Darrow were able to come to an understanding and defeat the Sovereign. I did not see that coming and I was so upset that the second book in a row it ended with him being captured. I really loved that Mustang became Sovereign because in my mind throughout these books that was the only “ending” that made the most since. I am really excited to see what the next steps politically that happens within the next book in this series and see where he takes this book and the world that is being developed around Darrow and Mustang.
