Her True Alpha is book 2.5 in Isoellen’s The 12 Sectors Series. You don’t have to read Choosing Her Alpha (book 1) first, but I would recommend Her Broken Alpha (book 2) as Phee & Alreck appear in it. As such, this may contain spoilers to those books.
Naya’s sister Phee has just learned that she won’t be able to have children and is deserted by her Alpha-mate. Alreck has lost his Beta-mate. At first I was a little annoyed that it took Isoellen nearly half the book to get these two to even meet - but their individual backstories were important and helped solidify why they’re a great match. Phee's growth and understanding of her family dynamics were especially important.
At less than two hours to read, this novella isn’t as detailed & layered as the other books - however, it was enjoyable and a good addition to the series. When these two come together - it's on fire. I’m looking forward to more 12 Sectors… and hopefully an update on Alreck & Phee in subsequent books.
