Queer, punk, femme, ridiculous, brash, cute, bouncy, adventurous, wild -- Kim & Kim is all of these things. Featuring a VW van that travels through time and space named Contessa, an electric guitar that is somehow also a deadly weapon, a shape-shifting octopus pre-adolescent, and what appears to be a queerplatonic relationship between the two title characters. It's a fast and fun girlpop bounty hunters in space kind of story, that is like, the opposite of dark and gritty. It's a story that doesn't take itself too seriously, and I just really enjoyed its humor and effervescence.
