Read the Heroes & Villians Collection edition.
It's Batman taking on his detectidve role, no mutated bad guys (or crazy ones) just Batman hitting the streets and doing some police work.
It was good, not great.
He was infallible (which I usually like) but he was so caught up on his own bias that he caused an innocent man to die. I felt like Batman was so caught up in his own ego he believed the hype the he created around his own fake persona.
I did really like the Rookie story at the end, I have read it before but I love that brief snapshot of police life on the Gotham force and the bravery it takes to stay not allow yourself to become currupted.
