Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Celebration of Ignorance

I first read the book when I was 7 or 8, almost forgot anything from it, until recently I found Mont Blanc making a Le Petit Prince collection that I decided to reread the book to find out why exactly is the book being so popular around the globe.
I was disappointed to say the least.

The book has some symbolism and philosophy involved, which seems to promote that we should stay childish and “not like the adults”. I do not believe this is how the world works. Look at all those stupid tweets and “opinions and comments” people make all on the internet. Is the human race not ignorant enough? We should be learning, studying, exploring knowledge, instead of just sitting there looking at stars and imagine a stupid nonexistent flower on a whatever asteroid, and a sheep, and nano-volcanoes...

Stop being childish, grow up and get a life.
Figures are important, calculations are important. If you think it’s not, that’s why you crashed your plane in the desert in the first place.

Not to mention the kid was so annoying, if I were the serpent I’d kill him on page one.

The reason I gave two stars instead of one is, it could make a fair children book, but just too overrated.
