Wow. This book was DARK and hard to read through everything the abductor put any through, but holy moly the ending? I was not expecting or anticipating that whatsoever. Never saw it coming. I loved how the story unfolded and was told through a series of therapy sessions. I also thought the distinction between Annie before she was abducted to the person she evolved into following her ordeal was really powerfully told. I don’t feel like I can say more without giving hints about the ending. I absolutely never saw it coming.
