The One Memory of Flora Banks by Emily Barr

4.0

Flora Banks is a brave and interesting character all on her own. She is adventurous, determined and always truthful about what she thinks and feels. She firmly believes in herself and her truth, and she sticks to her own plans and dreams. Reading this story was an adventure, quite like Flora's trip to the Arctic Circle in search of the boy who makes her, girl with retrograde amnesia, remember. There are some heartwrenching moments in the book, as Flora braves all her insecurities and obstacles in order to reach her goal. She is gentle yet somewhat tenacious, and even without the amnesia, she is one of the most prominent characters, with one of the most inspiring and endearing stories in YA fiction.
