Damn this book was filthy! This is the last book in the McGowan crime family series. I haven’t read the first four, but after having read this one, I’m sorely tempted. Essentially, this book is (in the words of the author themselves) an “unhinged spice-fest.” Please proceed with caution! Some quick tropes for ya: touch-her-and-die (literally), innocent MFC, jaded sex club owner, stalker, mafia romance, insta-lust/love. The plot is basically what you see in the synopsis; however, there is a sub plot where they are trying to find out who is trying to destroy their business. It gets pretty violent towards the end, but no worries, we get a HEA. Really enjoyed the MCs’ inner monologues that revealed their insecurities and troubles. All in all, a really good dark romance that had tension and darkness, yet was entertaining and spicy.
