Cold Fear by Rick Mofina

5.0

After an argument between her mom and dad, Paige Baker goes missing in a remote camping area. Her mom had returned to the scene of her younger sister's death, which occurred many years ago, at the hands of convicted killer Isaiah Hood, who was scheduled to be executed that very week.

As local authorities and the FBI search for Paige, investigations into Emily and Doug Baker ensue, convincing at least some people that they may have had something to do with Paige's disappearance, and even that Emily was guilty of her sister's death, rather than Isaiah Hood.

Mofina has crafted a gripping tale of suspense, and the reader is truly unsure of the outcome until shortly before the ending. I found myself not wanting to put this down. It's a great good, and, in my opinion, very well written.
