Feast for Thieves: A Rowdy Slater Novel by Marcus Brotherton

4.0

A well-told story about an ex-soldier caught up in a life of crime who is given a second chance yet must face a series of choices that threaten to steal the small tastes of redemption that he's been given by a gracious sheriff in the Texas town of Cut Eye. Brotherton skillfully mixes his knowledge of the WW2 warrior and pastoral ministry with a flair for creating characters that exude warmth, humor and vulnerability. Fans of Leif Enger's writing will enjoy this (and if you haven't read Leif Enger...start! Now!).
