Si-cology 1: Tales and Wisdom from Duck Dynasty's Favorite Uncle by Si Robertson, Mark Schlabach

2.0

This book is bizarre. It's sort of an anecdotal autobiography, but the "co-writer" of the book has such a heavy hand it's impossible to hear much in the book that sounds like the TV voice or personality of Si Robertson. The tone of the book is jarring, going from various wacky squirrel-eating antics to stories of how he almost shot a kid in Vietnam and how his wife was molested. I could also have done without knowing about his low sperm count. Book doesn't come off as authentic in any way, but worth a peek just for the unintentionally hilarious "Letters to Si" section in the back where his daughter writes about how happy she is to be physically confident and intellectually gifted.
