I loved "the vibes".
Partly because of the tropes:
- grumpy introvert who is actually a golden retriever/sunshine extrovert with trust issues
- he falls first and harder worshipping the ground she walks on
- shy and gets nervous around her/confident and pushing his buttons
- he blushes <3
I liked their power dynamic and the combination of these teopes was refreshing.
Was this book revolutionary? No. But it was also not the carbon copy of almost every other romance book with the love interest being a overconfident (and charming) player where the romance story is entirely predictable.
Spice 3/5
(not that much spicy scenes as in actual fu€king but the tension between the characters feels like constant foreplay)
