The Untold Stories by Erin Hunter

4.0

Hollyleaf's story - 4 Stars
Reading the series by itself did give you a little bit of what happened to this warrior after she initially fled, but this filled in every remaining gap. She was such a broken soul when we first lost sight of her. By the time she came back, much of her character changed, and I wasn't sure how the cat who went into the tunnels became the one who came out. This story chronicles her changes: her life in the dark, befriending another cat (whom she never figures out is a ghost), looking at life a different way, trying to frickin' save a fox (her nutty moment, but telling), and her eventual decision that she couldn't stay away from Clan life. The inner struggles we finally get to see help shape who she is by the end of Omen of the Stars. Awesome.

Mistystar's Omen - 4 Stars
I really do enjoy stories from different Clan perspectives. We get to see it only a tiny bit throughout the regular series, since it's primarily through ThunderClan. Mistystar was a strong character without getting into her mind. Now that we get a chance... yay! She was just as powerful as I imagined, and her issue was something I'm sure every reader questioned during the regular-run of the story. Mothwing. I loved this little story. I thought it was quite emotional for its short length, and we can better understand the mind behind RiverClan during the dark rebellion of Omen of the Stars. Again, awesome.

CloudStar - honestly, didn't read it. Never felt that connected to SkyClan, but that may change once I get around to its own Super Edition. I'll get back to this one.
