This book taught me that there is something I hate more than the miscommunication trope. That is when one character says something to the effect of "I need to tell you something" and the other says "later" and then they just drop it! And that happens several times. Nothing came up to stop you honey, you just didn't say anything to add to the drama of the plot and it was infuriating.
Damien was the bright spot for me. Kind and considerate. Helping Abbie heal from her past relationship. Abbie was fine except when she did the abovementioned non-talking.
The spice was spicy, but not my style. Too possessive and too muchyou'll come when I tell you to come type stuff and calling her a whore. Just not my thing, but if it's yours you will enjoy I'm sure.
