This book is a really interesting look into cycles of self destruction. Marie sees her worth through what she can offer other people, and uses her body and her writing to get other people's attention and validation. The combination of this cycle and the continual rise of social media puts Marie in a place where she is receiving both intense criticism and threats as well as praise and attention. This book was a hard read at some points, but I do appreciate how much of it was introspective but also recognizing how much other people contribute to someone's self destruction, knowingly or not.
