This is the first time I’ve ever read The Hobbit (or any of J.R.R Tolkien’s books) and really enjoyed it, though I have to say I wasn’t expecting quite so many songs! I did watch the movies years ago so I was pleasantly surprised by how quick of a read this was given Peter Jackson managed to get three movies out of it. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves fantasy.
