Did not finish book. Stopped at 37%.

The writing style, while descriptive of gore and horror, feels stilted and lacking in a lot of places. I often and no clue what the setting or character looked like, but I knew what the monster looked like. I also love positive ending horror which many of these were, but a few just felt not entirely believable? I can definitely see how this would work for others as they're fun and interesting and I loved all the inclusions of Mexican folklore. It just didn't click.
