The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams

I didn't know what to expect going into this book, but after hearing so much about it, I was really intrigued. It took me a little bit to get into it, it has a slow start, but once the characters left Earth the story got really interesting. I appreciated the dry humor and wit, as well as how unique this was, the different world, species, and technologies that the author came out with. The reason I didn't love this more is that I never felt particularly invested or attached to the characters, and as a character-driven reader, it was something that I missed.
