The Courage To Be Disliked: How to free yourself, change your life and achieve real happiness by Ichiro Kishimi, Fumitake Koga

challenging emotional slow-paced

4.0

This book isn’t perfect, and I often found myself resistant to many of its ideas - but the format welcomes resistance, in its student-teacher dialogue format, and every idea is worth giving some thought, even if you end up disagreeing with it.

There were several life changing points in this book for me, and several ideas that I ended up rejecting. It’s worth the read if you’re looking for a shift in perspective.

I read it while I was in a very difficult, dark place, and it didn’t heal me, but it helped me understand some of my problems in a new way and made the world feel a little bit less scary.
