I’m a little divided on this book.
I really liked the general concept; a school to train assassins. Next to that I loved the Italian influences that kept peeking in and the characters, the way they were quite clear and put up.
The world-building was okay, could’ve been a bit better I think, and it took a little too long for me to get to the point of where it was hard to put the book down (but I did get there, so POINT).
The way the ending closed up, I’m content not continuing the series and leaving it with this book. As much as happened at the ending, I don’t feel the need to read the rest.
