I love this book. It's out of print, but I'm still on the hunt to buy a copy.
Tameika has a beautiful confidence, and I love that she is not shy. So many kids' books feature overcoming stage fright, which is great, but this girl knows what she loves and it's fantastic.
After overhearing some mean kids talk about the reasons why she "can't" be Snow White in the school play, Tameika's confidence is shaken. But she has fantastic parents who support her, and she won't be pushed off the stage so easily.
This is a beautiful book. The end.
