This book isn’t perfect but the characters are so well executed and it’s all a very plausible life depiction of the title character and the characters around him that are his nearest and dearest. I would heartily recommend this book to anyone.
Moderate: Alcoholism, Bullying, Chronic illness, Death, Infidelity, Mental illness, Miscarriage, Misogyny, Self harm, Sexism, Sexual content, Suicide, Xenophobia, Blood, Vomit, Medical content, Grief, Medical trauma, Car accident, Death of parent, Pregnancy, Alcohol, Injury/Injury detail, and Classism
Please note the alcoholism, suicide, miscarriage and car accident and the accompanying grief that could be caused by these are recurring themes in this book.
