Fables: The Deluxe Edition, Book Two by Bill Willingham

Standard of excellence maintained. Fairy tale noir with about the same ratio of scandalous machinations, sex and violence seen in the first book in the series. Pleasantly surprised by the turn to full lore mode in the last illustrated story and even more so by the short story included at the end. You don't often see graphic novels switch to full text, and it handily proves how much Bill Willingham can move between mediums, painting a tale with words, no pictures required.
The emerging pairing bridging this book's story arc? I ship it! 🥰
⚠️ Nudity, gore, reference to SA, also inferred non-con (while enchanted).
