The plot had a lot of potential but I don’t like how it was executed. The relationship felt rushed and I would have wanted more pining. They started dating out of nowhere in my opinion and it didn’t flow very nicely.
The characters were really likable and the relationships between them were quite realistic yet somewhat caricatural. The characters all had realistic flaws which played nicely into their character development.
This book also brought up some important issues like racism, homophobia, addiction, mental health and even rape.
