Paper Towns by John Green

"When did we see each other face-to-face? Not until you saw into my cracks and I saw into yours. Before that, we were just looking at ideas for each other, like looking at your window shade but never seeing inside. But once the vessel cracks, the light can get in. The light can get out. "

Beautifully written and poetic! A good mixture of thoughtfullness and humour, love and spontaneity and adventures, all mixed into the story of a mysterious girl who disappears but leaves clues for the main character to find her.
Excellent about how our perception of others rarely matches up with the reality. Amazingly written characters. This book made me want to break into Sea World, go on a roadtrip AND read "Song of Myself", all at once!
