Dragon Unbound by Donna Grant

adventurous emotional mysterious tense fast-paced

4.0

Cullen, King of Garnets, has been given the opportunity to visit with the newly discovered dragons.
He has to tread carefully though, Con isn't in charge here, his children are and they have very...set rules about interacting with the humans on their realm. The arrival of the Dragon Kings seems to have unleashed a new foe, one that is invisible to almost everyone!

Tamlyn's magic was discovered as she grew and she was cast out by her so-called family.  Tortured and set for sacrifice she was saved by one of her own, a Banshee.  But she barely scratched the surface of her powers.  It seems that meeting with Cullen has her "levelled up". Can she really trust the handsome but powerful stranger to help her rescue the other children incarceated?

Cullen and Tamlyn were a great match.  Cullen may have been initially more powerful but he was perfectly willing to let Tamlyn take the lead, she was the local asset and knew the enemy best.  Tamlyn's only real issues was asking for help, from her decades-old friendships or her newer one with the Dragon Kings.

There are great messages interwoven with the story, especially that of 2different doesn't make you bad".

There are a couple of TW: Child capture/sacrifice (unseen), abuse survival
