Wow, this is a bewitching, enchanting, intriguing and fascinating folk tale. Filled with all the wonderful tales, tricks and sleight of hand you come to expect from a rogue, yet not a rogue. Set in a time of chaos, war, hunger plagues and famine this shows the brutal and Inhuman nature of humanity and yet there’s also the kindness of strangers and strong and determined women. If there’s one book you have to read, let it be this one. Absolutely marvellous
