This was so compulsively readable, with a good mixture of tension and sadness. The focus on the parents was a unique twist on the missing girl story. Definitely recommend for people who like character-driven thrillers.

Slight Gilmore Girls vibes, with an independent mom owning an inn, her daughter dating a rich Logan Huntzberger type, and one of the (albeit male) characters named Rory
