in lieu of this review being six pages long, i'll say this:
at first glance, Equal Rites is a less than 300pg book about a little girl learning she is a wizard. but the book is punching waaaay above its weight class. the 75min conversation i had with my book club is evidence enough that everyone should read this book, and then talk about it with everyone else who has read it. and hopefully, if we all listen, we steer the ship toward a brighter future. was this a lofty enough review?
