Interesting plot and the magic system and the mystery around Poppy and who she is, is definitely entertaining. However, I feel the book is overly sexualised at inopportune moments

like after the battle was especially sickening

however I am left feeling like I want to read on for the plot. I do feel like the book is quite heavily plot-armoured though, especially now with Poppy's healing power, but the deaths of Elijah and Magda did make the group feel less invincible.
