There isn't enough praise I can give to this book. WOW. Is the first thought that comes to mind. This series, this incredible series has a way of flipping everything you thought you knew on it's head and punching you in the gut... in a good way. This book, Defy Me, the fifth book in the Shatter Me series is a complete revision of the story we thought we knew.
Without giving too much away, this story has bent my perception of the story world and has remarkably given me a swell of feelings. Everything about these characters, this world that Tahereh Mafi has created, has lead to this book. I know there is one more book in the series (3 more if you count the novellas) but this book does it for me.
This book has to be my favourite of the series, thus far. I felt myself binging this book, I couldn't put it down. The action and the emotional tether of the various characters, every single one of them, has put this book in the top ranking for my favourite book ever.
