Apple: Skin to the Core by Eric Gansworth

reflective slow-paced

3.5

Volunteer read. It feels weird to rate a memoir less than 4 or 5 stars but this book really dragged. The author’s experience is valuable and his unique perspective is very interesting, but parts of this book really held my attention while others fell flat or felt repetitive. It was also a little confusing as it was marketed for the YA audience but all of the pop culture references sprinkled throughout were more of the author’s childhood era (I think 70s-80s) so those wouldn’t necessarily draw in today’s young audience.
