Deliverance by James Dickey

2.0

Much better than I expected. Though the action sequences are less interesting the the rather brilliant argument against the idealization of the same primitive man bullshit that joins John Birchers and Peak Oilers in romantic anticipation of whatever apocalypse du jour the winguts on either extreme of the political spectrum are dreaming up this week. Also, Dickey is a hell of a writer.
