This could probably be read as a standalone, but you’d be missing out on the history of the main characters as well as the side characters that helped make this story more complete. Just like with the last two books, there is a lot of fast and off-page relationship development that made this story seem incomplete.

Cam repeatedly mentioned and thought about leaving…it was a bit repetitive. I’d rather have seen the development of the relationship. And we saw more negativity from Adam and not enough positives.

I think at this point…I’m probably done with this series.
