Looking for Rachel Wallace by Robert B. Parker

4.0

The Spenser series is something I have come to expect a quick pace, some snappy dialogue, and a sprinkle of utter violence out of nowhere. This entry does not disappoint in those elements.

I found myself highly entertained by the deepening character relationships (particularly Susan and Spenser coming ever closer to a dysfunctional bliss). The language was shocking at times (purely a victim of dialogue not aging with the times, but working for the time period of the novel), and way too many instances of Rachel Wallace being referred to by her full name. But outside of that, I found this a solid entry in the series.
