This looked like it was going to be a brilliant psychological thriller with a lot of twists. However, the magic is slowly taken away early on in the storyline when the POV chapters appear. Then there is this Christian cult leader type vibe that just seems to pop up out of no where and then it's becomes all the book is talking about. Pretty dull.
