Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier

5.0

In ninth grade Honors English, we had a choice to read Rebecca or Alas, Babylon. And I chose Rebecca. I remember sitting in my room reading it for two hours every night, and I remember it chilling my bones. That was in 2010-2011. This book has been on my mind ever since I finished it. I'll admit I didn't like it when I was being forced to read up to a certain chapter each day, but after it was over, it never left my mind. I've been haunted by this book in such a good way that no other book has managed to do to me before.
