The Forsaken Throne, by Jeff Wheeler

4.0

I have to admit I spent 95% of this book miffed I was reading the author write the same love story of the first trilogy all over again, except then it all changed in the end, with some brilliant, honorable, and lovingly gentle twists that surprised and pleased me.

I loved the use of the different world, which I assume is to the earlier nine books he has but I haven't read. I do wish he'd actually used the Oath Maidens more after their creation, as i felt they got massively sidelined after being the important thing the main character was supposed to do, be, and train others to be/do.
