The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix

4.0

Thoroughly enjoyable. Surprisingly quick read. I loved the juxtaposition of the monotonous daily life of a 90s housewife and the horror of a vampire invading their once safe neighborhood. I love that the women in this have a true crime book club, it’s something I can relate to, and so I found the characters endearing. I am so glad that the housewives of the town ended up overcoming fear, prejudice, misogyny, and most of all, monsters. A story about friendship above all
