eeeeee uncomfortable. a bunch of white men steal some treasure from india and then start fighting about who gets to have it. yikes. it was difficult to separate that from the story itself, so i didn't like it as much as other sherlock holmes stories. also we should all count ourselves lucky doyle wasn't a romance writer, because even though he makes mistakes in his research, the 'romance' was rough
