Nothing hit quite like it was supposed to for me. The horror was minimal, the mystery didn’t have enough to hook me, the emotional threads felt frayed. I really loved the concept and by the end of it I was glad I read it (emotional intensity in the last 10% was phenomenal) but I found myself frustrated and confused throughout most of it, and not in a way that felt particularly intentional.
