Cop Town by Karin Slaughter

It started off pretty slow for me. (I listened to this book.) The author took a lot of time to explain several details about uniforms and gun parts. It started to get a little redundant, but towards the end of the book I understood why. I thought the main character’s arc was pretty huge and fascinating for just a week’s time, but she (Kate) did go through a LOT within that week. I sometimes had to remind myself that this book was based in the 70’s. It’s funny how our minds automatically assume cell phones and internet always exist. I loved the twists and turns and I loved being inside the head of the ‘bad guy.’
