Abigail Harper is so awesome! She’s strong, resilient, defiant, ambitious and resourceful. And she’s also caring and compassionate. Even more, I loved her fire, sharp mind and refusal to be broken. Abby was always ready to face any challenges thrown her way. This fierce woman is a badass FBI agent and I loved her so, so much!
And Nathan Zhou is one very, very, VERY dangerous man. Also known as the Golden Serpent’s Fang, the heir to the mafia throne is one ruthless, violent, brutal and deadly man. Even more, he’s loyal, smoking-hot, charming, absolutely irresistible and fiercely protective of the people he cares about. But there’s another side of Nathan, too, which was quite surprising and I absolutely loved. Nathan is one complex man and I couldn’t help but love everything about him, dark side and all.
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Abby and Nathan! Abby goes undercover to gather information about the Triads in San Francisco. And the last thing she expects is to meet and fall for one of the most dangerous of them all. I loved those two together! Their chemistry was off-the-charts right from the start and, ohhhh, talk about tension! Even more, I loved that they were such opposites and, yet, fit so well together. And I really enjoyed every moment when they discovered another side of each other’s characters. They should stay far away from each other but neither of them could resist the undeniable attraction. And their dark and twisted desires were just the perfect match. The spice was ABSOLUTELY SPICING with Abby and Nathan and all the passionate moments they shared were intense and HOT AF! But both are keeping dangerous secrets… What will happen when all comes to light?
In addition, the storyline was fantastic! Suspense, danger, action, violence, twists, betrayals, conflicted emotions, tested loyalties… With everything happening, I was glued to the pages till the very end.
Overall, the story is a remarkable start of the series!
I couldn’t put it down and absolutely loved every page of it!
And with that EPIC cliffhanger in the end, I cannot wait to see how Abby and Nathan’s story will continue!
