Highly recommend the audiobook version, as Trevor reads it himself and you can hear him use his vocal talents, especially as he imitates his family’s accents and speaks in other languages. The book itself is a true rags to riches story, a coming of age story, a story about complex families, apartheid, racism, immigration, and the slow progress toward a dream. Trevor is honest, relatable, endlessly funny, and I can’t wait to see what he does next.
Moderate: Cursing and Racism
