The mythologies of the 10 kinds of vampires was super cool. I liked Atl a lot. For how developed the worldbuilding is, the story was fairly small. Some parts are great while others are a little slow for what's happening. The different abilities of the vampires come into play quite nicely. Vampires with rows of teeth like sharks, scary stuff.
The print size of the Tor Nightfire rerelease is small, shaving about 100 pages off of its original printing. I found it hard to read compressed like this and would have preferred a longer book.
