I've enjoyed other stories by Chantal Fernando and had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately, I had a hard time getting invested in the plot and the characters. It often seemed on the verge of turning into something just a little more, but then it would back off. Sorry, it's hard to describe, but just when I thought it was going to really pick up (pace and plot wise), it didn't. Plenty of hot sexy times but the characters didn't seem quite as dimensional (deep) as I would have hoped.
Will I read another another by this author? Definitely because I've enjoyed other books from her before this. This one just wasn't for me.
