Invisibility by Andrea Cremer

3.0

An extra star because I'll acknowledge it's not really my genre. In saying that, the blurb didn't give enough of an indication how paranormal the plot would eventually be - to be honest, I was almost expecting the invisibility would be somewhat metaphorical.

As other reviews have said, the start of the book is excellent. Almost unfortunately so, because the writing did convince me to continue with the book, even when it started getting magicky. I think the paranormal world wasn't set up properly - whether it needed more separation from reality, or integrated slightly better, I really don't know, but something felt off about the set up.

It comes down to: not my scene. Anyone who is a fan of both paranormal and realistic fiction will probably enjoy this a lot.
