Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan

I've read this book half a dozen times in my life and claimed it was my favourite book of all time, it was also the first queer book I ever read. It means a lot to me. Then I didn't read it for a decade for fear that it wouldn't be as special now that I have been exposed to the wide wonders of LGBTQIAP2S+ books.
NEVER FEAR BECAUSE THIS BOOK IS STILL FANTASTIC!!!!
The writing is stunning, so lyrical and wonderous but still based in reality. I adore the concept of everyone is queer and it's the norm, but even if it is normalised it's still not easy being queer. I adore the relationships, both romantic and platonic as well as the relationship with oneself.
I have always remembered the painting music scene and it's still as fantastical and whimsical as always.
This book means everything to me and will always have a special place in my heart. I plan on rereading this book every year until I die.
